(Vol. 0, Issue #002) "The Fire That Started it All"

For the first time in a long time, I felt like I could breathe. Not because the world had changed, but because I had. Slowly, quietly, my life was shifting.

We picked up The Four Agreements and Atomic Habits, not expecting miracles, but hoping for a little clarity. And little by little, it came. I started noticing the patterns that had held me back and realized I could choose differently. I could live differently.

We began moving, eating better, and doing things just for the sheer joy of it — hiking, bowling, walking the dog. Each step felt electric, like life was reminding me it had more to offer than constant worry and tension. My daughter started spending more time with us, and seeing her happy, hearing her laughter, made me realize I wasn’t just surviving anymore. I was building a life worth living.

I also started creating in ways that surprised me. I designed a chicken grocery bag holder that went viral, keeping me busy and engaged all year. And I took a photography course that completely shifted the way I saw the world — the colors, textures, and details I had overlooked before were suddenly alive, as if I had been given a new lens to notice the beauty everywhere around me.

Then one evening, my husband sent me a song. Unstoppable by Sia.

The first notes hit me, and something inside me erupted. My chest pounded. My heart raced. My shy, careful self — the one who had spent years shrinking, hiding, doubting — suddenly came alive. I sang. I danced. I laughed out loud. On our walks, I felt light, free, unstoppable. The music wasn’t just a song; it was a spark that ignited a fire I didn’t know I still had inside me.

For the first time, I wasn’t just moving through life. I was moving with life, in step with a power I hadn’t allowed myself to claim before. That small, steady spark had grown into a blaze. And I had no idea how far it would take me.
