(Vol. 2, Issue #008) "The Wilderness"

I’m standing at the edge of the unknown. The path ahead feels uncertain, and yet I know this is where the work begins. Every choice I make, every word I write, carries weight — not because it’s perfect, but because it’s mine.

Some people will never understand. I know this. Certain voices—critical, insecure, always searching for fault—will try to pull me off course. I don’t share everything with them, because I’ve learned that some ears aren’t meant to hear, some hearts aren’t ready to support. That’s okay. This journey isn’t for them; it’s for me.

And yet, even knowing that, the doubts creep in. What if I stumble? What if the words I pour into the world are torn apart? What if my courage isn’t enough? These questions circle in my mind like hawks above an open field. I feel the tension, but I don’t let it stop me.

I remind myself of Teddy Roosevelt’s words: “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena…” That man—who shows up, takes risks, and dares greatly—is me. I may falter, I may sweat and bleed, but I am in the arena. And that is what matters.

I’ve accepted the challenges ahead, and I’ve committed to the journey. There is no turning back. Every step forward, every word I share, every lesson I learn brings me closer to becoming the hero in my own story. This is the Wilderness, and I am learning to walk through it with steady feet, clear eyes, and quiet resolve.

The arena is mine. The work is mine. And though the path is daunting, I know that with every step, I am unstoppable.
