Stage 6: The Resurrection
How Do You Rise as Your Transformed Self?

The Rising
You died.
You let go of who you were. You released the old patterns, the old identity, the old story.
And in that death, something miraculous happened.
You were reborn.
This is The Resurrection.
For me, The Resurrection happened in the moments after the porch pie breaking point. After my daughter's words. After the Turkish get-up ad. After everything converged and forced me to choose.
I chose myself.
And in that choice—in that single moment of clarity when all the pieces clicked together—Unstoppable April Nicole was born.
Not the silent version. Not the small version. Not the one who waited to be saved.
The hero. The main character. The one who takes her life into her own hands.
What Is The Resurrection?
The Resurrection is the moment you realize you've changed—you're not who you were.
It's when:
You see yourself through new eyes
You make choices you never would have made before
You stand in your power instead of shrinking from it
You speak with your own voice—clear, confident, unapologetic
You recognize the transformation has happened
You step fully into who you've become
The Resurrection isn't just about feeling different. It's about being different.
You don't go back to who you were. You can't. That person doesn't exist anymore.
The Moment Everything Changed
In that instant on the porch, with "Unstoppable" echoing in my mind and my daughter's words fresh in my heart, everything clicked.
All these moments—my one brave life-changing decision to send that email, the year of deep work, the battle with boundaries, the pie, the ad, the realization that I was running out of time—crashed together in one crystal-clear truth:
I had to become the hero of my own story.
Not just physically stronger. Not just mentally tougher.
Unstoppable.
Someone who:
Doesn't wait for permission
Doesn't break herself to fit
Doesn't silence her voice to keep the peace
Doesn't let fear stop her
Doesn't let age, circumstance, or other people's opinions dictate her life
In that moment, I wasn't just making a commitment to change.
I was becoming someone new.
Signs You're in The Resurrection Stage
You might be experiencing The Resurrection if:
You feel different in your own skin - Like you've stepped into a new version of yourself
You're making different choices - Automatically, without having to talk yourself into it
Old triggers don't control you anymore - Things that used to derail you just... don't
You speak with a new confidence - Your voice is clearer, stronger, more yours
You recognize yourself in the mirror differently - Not just physically, but energetically
You feel powerful - Not in an arrogant way, but in a grounded, "I've got this" way
You're no longer waiting - For permission, for rescue, for the "right time"
You realize: I'm not who I was - And you're okay with that. More than okay. Proud.
The Resurrection is when you look back at who you were and barely recognize her.
The New You vs. The Old You
Here's what changed for me:
Old April:
Waited to be saved
Silenced herself to keep peace
Broke off pieces of me to fit their mold
Made excuses for not showing up fully
Let fear dictate her choices
Lived small to make others comfortable
Unstoppable April Nicole:
Saves herself
Speaks her truth even when it's uncomfortable
Shows up fully, unapologetically
Takes radical responsibility for her life
Moves forward despite fear
Lives boldly because her life—and her daughter's future—depends on it
I didn't just change behaviors. I changed identities.
How to Embrace The Resurrection
The Resurrection isn't automatic. You have to claim it.
Here's how:
1. Own who you've become Don't downplay your transformation. Don't apologize for being different. You earned this. Own it.
2. Step into your power You're not the same person. Stop acting like you are. Make choices that align with who you are now, not who you were.
3. Claim your voice Speak up. Share your story. Use the voice you worked so hard to find.
4. Trust your new instincts The person you've become knows things the old you didn't. Trust that.
5. Let people adjust Not everyone will recognize the new you. Some won't like it. That's okay. You're not changing for them.
6. Live like the hero you are This isn't just a phase. This is who you are now. Act like it.
What The Resurrection Requires
Here's the hard part: The Resurrection asks you to live differently.
It's one thing to have a breakthrough moment. It's another thing to live from that breakthrough every single day.
After Unstoppable April Nicole was born, I had to:
Make different choices about food, movement, and self-care
Set boundaries I'd never set before
Say no to things that would have pulled me back
Build a life that reflected who I'd become, not who I'd been
Keep showing up even when it was hard
Honor the transformation by living it out
The Resurrection isn't a one-time event. It's a daily commitment.
Adjusting to the New You
Not gonna lie: being the new you can feel strange at first.
You might experience:
Imposter syndrome - "Am I really this person now?"
Discomfort - The new identity doesn't feel broken in yet
Pushback from others - People who liked the old you may resist the new you
Uncertainty - "What do I do with this new version of myself?"
Responsibility - You can't go back to old excuses now
But here's the truth: The discomfort of becoming is always better than the suffocation of staying the same.
You might not feel like the hero yet. But you are one.
You answered The Call. You pushed through Resistance. You trained. You fought The Battle. You surrendered in The Death.
And now you've risen.
Living as Unstoppable
The Resurrection gave me something I'd never had before: ownership of my own life.
I stopped waiting for:
My mom to change
My circumstances to be perfect
Someone to give me permission
The "right time" to arrive
I became the one who makes things happen.
And that's when everything changed—not just for me, but for everyone around me.
My daughter saw me rise. She saw me become unstoppable. And in doing so, I showed her it's possible.
That's the power of The Resurrection. You don't just transform yourself—you become living proof that transformation is possible.
